Vehicle Recovery Training
Vehicle recovery courses, including self-recovery for off-road and winter conditions, are essential for 4x4 and ATV operators.
Our bespoke recovery courses include extensive practical experience of towing with ropes or strops, rope extraction (can include the use of pulley blocks), stabilisation, jacking (standard, air, exhaust and ladder/farm jacks where necessary), use of sand ladders/waffle boards and essential debogging techniques.
Training will usually be carried out using the equipment that your operators will be issued with, and is taiilored to your requirements, delivered by our experienced recovery instructors who will respond to the needs of the candidates within the specification you provide.
Pragmatic and effective training, with personnel safety and the assessment of risk during recovery operations covered at all stages.
Beyond 4x4 Vehicle Recovery course contents (as required):
- Legal framework and H&S regulations
- Equipment checks and assessment of suitability
- Rigging safety
- Towed recovery
- Vehicle jacking
- Vehicle stabilisation
- Emergency procedures
Delivery of recovery courses:
- 1 or 2 day duration (depending upon required elements)
Up to 3 operators/instructor day
Can be undertaken at your own venue (depending upon suitability), or at one of our off-road sites
