LANTRA 1 Day Sit-astride ATV Quad Bike Courses
The 1 day quad bike training qualification is designed either for ATV operators who have previously had accredited training and need to re-certify and refresh their knowledge and skills, or for small groups (maximum 2 candidates) who require the full accreditation course.
Any operator who is required to ride a quad bike as part of their work should be trained in their use as per the PUWER 98 regulations. The LANTRA certification fulfils all of the regulations and is recommended by the Health and Safety Executive.
Course contents:
- Machine knowledge
- Pre-start checks
- Safe procedures and observations
- Safe operations – level ground
- Rough terrain
- Carrying loads
- Trailed equipment
Instructor/Candidate/Machine ratio:
- Previously trained operators – 1 instructor/up to 4 candidates/minimum 2 machines
- Novice operators – 1 instructor/up to 2 candidates/minimum 2 machines
Venue:
This course can be undertaken at your own venue (depending upon suitability), or at one of our LANTRA approved 4×4 sites.
Cost:
Prices from £110/candidate (experienced operator) or £195/candidate (novice operator).
