LANTRA 4×4 Training
2 Day courses (LANTRA Off Road Vehicles - 4×4 Professional Users Course) from £270/person:
Cost (inclusive): Using our Land Rover 110 -3 people - £1100, 2 people - £1030, 1 person - £950.
Your own vehicle: 3 people - £800, 2 people - £730, 1 person - £650 - dependent on verification of insurance and MOT.
Duration: 2 days
Venue: Our LANTRA approved 4×4 site (just off the M6 in Cumbria).
Certification: 5 year LANTRA certification as a professional 4×4 off road driver.
This course is designed for all drivers who are expected to use their 4×4 vehicle off road, and is ideal for any delegate who has not previously had professional training in 4×4 use and risk assessment.
All training is restricted to a training ratio of 1 trainer to no more than 3 trainees.
Off Road Training (LANTRA Experienced Operator Certification) from £150/person:
Cost (inclusive): Our Vehicle - Land Rover 110: 3 people - £600, 2 people - £550, 1 person - £490.
Your own vehicle: 3 people - £450, 2 people - £400, 1 person - £340 - dependent on verification of insurance and MOT.
Duration: 1 day
Venue: Our LANTRA approved 4×4 site (just off the M6 in Cumbria).
Certification: 5 year LANTRA certification as a professional 4×4 off road driver.
Our 1 day course is ideal for the recreational user of 4×4 vehicles, or for professional users who can provide us with proof of experience and previous training (LANTRA or BORDA may be accepted).
Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), anyone who is provided with specialist equipment (4×4 vehicles come under this title) must be trained in their use. Our training is usually undertaken at our base in Cumbria, though we may be able to do training elsewhere, subject to our assessment of the site.
The one day course is not a money saving option - if a delegate needs the full training we will recommend the 2 day course, and will not certificate the course until it has been completed. The one day course is designed for those who have previously had LANTRA or equivalent 4×4 driver training.
Open Training Courses - cost efficient training for individuals:
Training is not normally shared - however, we sometimes run open training courses where we group 2 or 3 individuals together - this can be a cost effective way to get one individual trained. If you would like us to contact you when we are running our next open group course, just send us an email.
